Ready to talk about the room?

A free consultation at your house, across Exeter and East Devon, with no obligation and no sales appointment to endure.

The first visit takes about an hour. We measure properly, look at what we can get access to, and talk about how the room is used rather than just what you want to put in it. You get an honest view the same day, including if the honest view is that we are not the right firm for your project.

Telephone
01392 321032 Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:30, Saturday 09:00 – 13:00
Address
Topsham Road
Exeter
EX2 6EU

This is our base rather than a showroom, so it is not set up for people to call in. Consultations happen at your house, where the room actually is - give us a ring and we will arrange a time.

Where we work
Exeter and across East and Mid Devon. The towns listed further down this page are where most of our work is.

What Happens Next

After You Get In Touch

  1. We call you back

Same working day if your message arrives before mid-afternoon. A short conversation to understand the project and check we are the right fit before either of us spends an hour on a visit.

  2. We visit and measure

About an hour at the house. Full measured survey, a look behind and under things where we can, and a proper conversation about how you use the room.

  3. You get drawings and a figure

Two or three layout options with elevations, a written specification naming everything, and an itemised quote with any survey risks costed as named possibilities.

  4. You decide, in your own time

No follow-up calls badgering you. If you want changes to the drawings we make them. If you want to take the specification and get comparable quotes, that is a reasonable thing to do.

Questions

Before You Call

How quickly will you get back to me?
Same working day for anything that arrives before mid-afternoon, and the following morning otherwise. If you would rather talk than type, calling is always faster than the form.
Is the first visit really free?
Yes, and there is no obligation attached to it. We measure the room, talk through what you want and give you an honest view of what is possible and roughly what it will cost. If we are the wrong fit - budget, timescale or the kind of work - we will say so on the day.
Do you have a showroom I can visit?
No, and that is deliberate. We have an address on Topsham Road but it is a working base, not a display space set up for visitors. A showroom has to be paid for by the jobs that come out of it, and it steers the specification toward whatever happens to be on the floor. We bring physical samples of tile, stone and brassware to your house instead, where you can see them in the light the room actually has - which is the only light that matters.
How far do you travel?
Exeter and out across East and Mid Devon - the towns listed further down this page are where we work most. If you are outside them it is still worth asking. The practical limit is travel time rather than a fixed radius, and we do not add a travel charge within our normal area.
How far ahead are you booking?
It varies through the year. Ask when you call and we will tell you honestly rather than pretending we can start next week. The design stage can usually begin much sooner than the site work, which means the waiting time is rarely wasted.
Can I just ask a question without booking anything?
Please do. A fair amount of what we do is answering questions for people who are still deciding whether to do anything at all, including ones where the answer is that they should not spend the money yet. We are not going to chase you afterwards.
